Journalistic reflexion of selected films by Jiří hubač

Diploma thesis Journalistic reflexion of selected films by Jiří Hubač is focused on the reflexion of Hubač's work coming from the 1970's Czech media. Jiří Hubač was the important figure in original work produced by Czechoslovak (ČST) and Czech TV. He was scriptwriter and dramaturgist, he has also written theatre scripts and is the author of two books. From his numerous work, I can name Ikarův pád, Babí léto,Nezralé maliny or famous serie Sanitka.This diploma thesis is focused on 1970 media and the way they reflected Hubač's work after its TV premiere. I chose following movies: Dlouhý podzimní den, Pozdní léto, Lístek do památníku and Ikarův pád. Analyzed journalistic reflexions were chosen from print media as was Rudé právo, Mladá fronta, Zemědělské noviny, Práce, Tvorba or Československá televize. The time period, 1970's, was chosen because of various factors - Hubač had to leave the ČST, but on the other hand the received multiple awards for this work. The analyzed media were choose for its availabilityand the focus their employees were standing for.
Original Czech Drama and Contemporary Drama in 70s of 20th Century

Resumé This academical work called The Original Czech Drama and Contemporary Drama in 70s of 20th century looks back at 70s as the first ten years of Normalisation. The period was restricting in the field of literature. The authors could not write freely. The regime put borders to limit their work. The original drama shows how the culture acts under pressure and without freedom. Obviously, the literature describing current times was disadvantaged opposed to the literature which describes "get away" themes. The conditions for theatres were very strict, mainly for new plays which had to be approved by the regime. There were some improvisation but the reaction of the audience was not easy to predict. In this decade the authors pretend to believe in the ideas of Socialism. They write about the advantages socialistic development. Only in this were the authors were guaranteed that their work is going to be published and performed. This is the difference between 50s of 20th century, when the authors really believed in rightness of the socialistic development. Nevertheless, their beliefs were slowly broken and their private lives strongly influenced. Reception of classical culture in the Czechoslovak/Czech television of Prague created

This work focuses on original television dramatic production of domestic authors, which was created in The Czechoslovak/Czech Television of Prague, and which is based on themes related with the history of ancient Greece and Rome. The aim is to study thoroughly this production - especially to discover how many inscenations of ancient subject The Czechoslovak/Czech Television of Prague created, what the topics are, and which authors participated on it; whereas a single chapter concentrates on each inscenation. Every chapter contains the comparison of the storyline of an inscenation and historical facts (i.e. the approach of scriptwriters to ancient realia and the procedure during its reception); it further contains the circumstances of an inscenation's origin, if contemporary critics know them from available sources and the acceptance of an inscenation. The work is also complemented by a chapter, which specifies the basis of television aesthetics.
